Day 1

A STEP INTO THE WILD ( 3 hours walk, 8 Km )

A car picks you up at your hotel in the early afternoon and drives you from Shangri-La Old Town to Farm Dabosi village, which is the starting point of the caravan. The caravan crosses the Ringha valley until the first pass at 3,700 m, with an excellent sightline to Mount Shangri-La Sekha. We’ll stay overnight at the Monk Grassland at 3,690 m.

Day 2

A CHALLENGING BUT REWARDING WALK (6 hours walk, 15 Km )

Hiking two passes between 3,900 and 4,000m. View of major peaks such as Kawakarpo, Yading Mountains Range and the Aboudje Mountains. The trail passes through forests of larch, fire, and rhododendron of rare beauty and the camp located on the Muet Grassland at 3,750 m.

Day 3

THE MAJESTIC VIEW AT ABOUDJ E LAKE (8 hours walk, 20 Km))

Trekking to the Aboudje sacred lake. It is a 20 km circle walk with the passage of two important passes over 4,000 m. Picnic on the shores of the majestic Aboudje Lake. We will then head back to the camp located at Muet Grassland 3,750 m.

(For the 3-day only program, we detour from the lake and we travel down to a road through a stunning valley. At the road, our driver comfortably chauffeurs everyone back to Shangri-La.)

Day 4

RETURN TO THE FARMIN DABOSI (7 hours walk, 18 Km )

A breathtaking return to Ringha Valley on a beautiful winding path alongside rivers, groves, and pastures, and cross a pass at 3,905m. We then descend and stop by a pasture overlooking Ringha Valley for a picnic. A slow walk followed by lunch in a forest of pine trees and return to Dabosi village. Our car will then be ready to chauffeur you back to Shangri-La Old Town.

Bell Tent - Premium Version (with bed)

SERVICES DETAILS FOR CARAVAN PREMIUM: Bedrooms: in Bell tents carefully decorated, with carpets, chandeliers, leather boxes, etc. mattresses, bedsheets, duvet, Tibetan blanket, pillows, washing corner, etc. There is a possibility to be only 2 people per tent. Dining room*(only for dinner): Also in a well-decorated tent. Guests seat on fat cushions, around a nice clothed table. Food is eaten in enameled dishes, with silver cutlery, and separate glasses for wine and water, etc. Meals: picnic-style lunches and full course dinners with a starter, a main dish, and a dessert, all served in well-presented plates, with silverware. A bottle of quality wine is opened for each dinner. Teatime: Tea, coffee, homemade cakes. Aperitif: Whisky, pastis, beers, gin, aperitif biscuits, little toast. *Whenever groups are only made of 2 or3 people, dinners are not served in a separate tent, but in the same bedroom tent. There is an inner tent who makes the separation between bedroom and dining room.
