Chinese Airlines Increase Flights to Kuala Lumpur

Sichuan Airlines and China Southern Airlines have introduced fresh flight routes connecting Chengdu and Shenzhen in China to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital city. These daily flights now stand in direct competition with AirAsia X, which operates the same route daily, alongside Batik Air four times a week, and Air China on a daily basis. The average roundtrip fare for this route amounts to approximately USD 330.

In addition to these major carriers, AirAsia offers 17 weekly flights, while Shenzhen Airlines provides 14 weekly flights on the same route, boasting an average roundtrip fare of USD 300. This increased competition underscores the growing demand for air travel between these destinations, prompting airlines to expand their services to cater to passengers’ needs. As a result, travellers now have a wider array of options at varying price points, enhancing accessibility and affordability for those journeying between China and Malaysia.
