Vietnam has granted visa-free entry to citizens of 12 additional European countries for tourism stays of up to 45 days, effective 15 August 2025.
The exemption applies to travellers from Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland, regardless of passport type. This initiative is part of Vietnam’s national tourism recovery programme aimed at increasing the average length of stay among European tourists.
With this expansion, citizens from the following countries can now enter Vietnam without a visa:
Southeast Asia:
- Brunei (14 days)
- Cambodia (30 days)
- Indonesia (30 days)
- Laos (30 days)
- Malaysia (30 days)
- Myanmar (14 days)
- Philippines (21 days)
- Singapore (30 days)
- Thailand (30 days)
Europe:
- Denmark (45 days)
- Finland (45 days)
- France (45 days)
- Germany (45 days)
- Italy (45 days)
- Norway (45 days)
- Russia (15 days)
- Spain (45 days)
- Sweden (45 days)
- United Kingdom (45 days)
Newly Added European Countries (45 days each):
