China’s Visa-free Policy Extended To Two New Countries

To further facilitate cross-border travel, China has announced that, effective 17 February 2026, ordinary passport holders from the United Kingdom and Canada will be eligible for visa-free entry.

These two nations join a growing list of nations eligible for visa-free travel in China. The visa-free travel policy has just been extended until 31 December 2026.

Under this arrangement, travellers from the United Kingdom and Canada may enter China without a visa for stays of up to 30 days for purposes including business, tourism, visiting family and friends, exchanges, and transit.

The visa-free arrangement will remain in effect until 31 December 2026.
