Day 2

Chiang Mai

Breakfast Situated north of the provincial northern capital of Chiang Mai, the Royal Chiang Mai Golf Course is set in an awe-inspiring lowland landscape, framed by a rugged mountain range, a national park and a wildlife sanctuary. The high altitude provides a cooler, less humid climate, clear air and gentle breezes. There is also abundant wildlife, including many species of local birds and thousands of flowering trees with different fragrances and colours throughout the year. This sublime scenery is more of a distraction compared to most golf courses, but once players concentrate on their game, this 7,200 yards tree-lined course, with abundant water hazards, will provide an inspirational challenge. It was designed by Peter Thompson, five times British Open Champion and the design is reminiscent of a traditional English parkland course with some interesting links additions. After the 18th hole, the cultural city of Chiang Mai, with its Lanna-era architecture, ancient ruins and temples awaits exploration. Afternoon at leisure Overnight at Kantary Hills, Chiang Mai.

Day 3

Chiang Mai

Breakfast The Alpine Golf Resort Chiang Mai is located in some of Thailand’s most idyllic scenery in a valley between sprawling mountain ranges in the heart of the San Kamphaeng Forests. It is recognized as one of the best golf courses in the northern region of the country and has hoisted the Asian Tour 2013 and the 2014 Chiang Mai Classic. Each hole and fairway has a stupendous view of rolling hills and mountains and dense forests which comprise abundant golden teak and mahogany. The 18 holes course is 7,541 yards in length from the black tees. The new nine holes section that opened in 2016 is positioned towards the rear of the resort and is separated into three distinct zones. The Pine Tree Zone is a parkland area; the Wetland Zone plays through marshes; and the Paddy Zone works around the rice paddy fields. The resort’s facilities include luxury accommodation, an international restaurant and a spa – all framed by Chiang Mai province’s spectacular mountainous backdrop. Afternoon at leisure Overnight at Kantary Hills, Chiang Mai.
