Day 1

Hanoi Arrival

Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will drive to your accommodation for check-in before starting this jam-packed five-day exploration of Hanoi and the surrounding area. Depending on your arrival time, we will visit the Ethnology Museum to learn about Vietnam's diverse culture and ethnic groups. The informative museum offers an insight into the 54 different ethnic groups that call the country home and features the traditional costumes of each tribe, as well as details of their traditions and customs. In the evening, we will get a dose of traditional culture performance. The water puppet show originates in Hanoi’s rice fields in the 11th century when the paddies were flooded and villagers would wade waist-deep into the water to perform with puppets as a form of entertainment. You can then enjoy dinner in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter at the home of a Hanoian culinary expert.
