Day 1

Bangkok – Hua Hin

An early start from Bangkok takes us to Mae Klong which is home to a unique market set up directly alongside a railway track. As the train approaches the vendors quickly collapse their awnings and pull back their stalls and then reassemble to carry on trading after the train has passed. We then head to enchanting Amphawa Market, next to picturesque canal-side wooden homes, with abundant restaurants and coffee shops to sit and enjoy this idyllic scene. We take a long-tail boat to view traditional Thai life along the waterway and disembark at Wat Bang Kung, an amazing Ayutthaya-era temple with a huge Banyan tree embracing the shrine with its roots. Afterwards, we head to Wat Pumarin Kudi Thong, famous for its teakwood chapel and temple museum. We proceed to Petchaburi and visit Khao Luang cave which contains abundant Buddha statues, followed by King Mongkut’s hillside Summer Palace and our onwards journey to Hua Hin. Dinner and overnight at MIDA de Sea Hua Hin Resort.
