Day 1

PANGKALANBUN AIRPORT PICK-UP– TANJUNG PUTTING (200 KM/04 HOURS)

Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to Kumai, where you will board your boat. The boat is a traditional Klotok (wooden houseboat) with a roof which forms the upper deck, from where you can view the rain forest as it glides by. The guide's team includes the boatman, a cook, and an expert guide.

Lunch is served on the way to Tanjung Puting, while you slowly cruise along the river, observing the wildlife of the rainforest which lines the rivers banks. If you are lucky, you may spot a proboscis monkey sitting high up in the trees or an orangutan jumping from one tree to another in search of food.
