ARR ZHANGYE
Take flight to Zhangye (suggest to arrive around noon). Upon arrival, met by your private guide and transfer to have lunch in city center.
After lunch, visit an ancient Buddhist temple. The Giant Buddha inside the temple is the largest architectural relic in Gansu Province of the Western Xia (1038-1227) period.
Drive to theDanxia Landform Geopark in the late afternoon, admire the incredible ‘rainbow mountains,’ layers of different colored sandstone and minerals that rise and fall like waves. The colorful rolling hills span about 300 sq.km and they are an incredible natural phenomenon formed over 24 million years.
Lunch will be served at local restaurant and dinner on own.

Day 2
ZHANGYE - JIAYUGUAN(230KM,2.5H)
Drive to Mati Temple, first built in the northern Liang period (397-460), this temple originally was a Chinese Buddhist temple, and later gradually changed into a Tibet Buddhist temple decorated outside with numerous colored flags. Comparing with Zhangye, here is completely different in terms of spirit and culture.
Set off on a road trip to Jiayuguan in the afternoon. Upon arrival, visit the Jiayuguan pass. This Ming Dynasty fort guards the strategic Jiayuguan pass, at the western end of the Great Wall – this was the last section built by the Ming Dynasty.
Lunch will be served at local restaurant and Dinner will be on own.

Day 3
JIAYUGUAN - DUNHUANG (370KM, 4H)
Pick up from hotel, drive to Dunhuang, on the way to visit Yulin Grottoes, 170 Km away from Dunhuang, colloquially called “Ten Thousand Gorges”, they are important parts of Mogao Grottoes and Major historic and cultural sites under state protection.
Afterwards hit on the road to Dunhuang. Check in hotel after arrival. Explore the local cuisine at the night market.

Day 4
DUNHUANG
We start the day discovering the fascinating Mogao Caves, also known as the Mogao Grottoes or the ‘Caves of One Thousand Buddhas.’ This collection of 492 grottoes is set into the cliff wall of Echoing Sand Mountain about 25 km south-east of Dunhuang, an oasis city in the Gobi Desert. This honeycomb of caves was constructed from the 4th to the 14th centuries and they represent the height of Buddhist art.
We then continue to Minsha Echoing Sands and Crescent Lake. While the sand dunes stretch several kilometers, the spring is the main attraction. We embark on a camel ride to climb the sand dunes. The sand dunes are hot during the day and spring to life with color at sunrise and sunset.

DEP DUNHUANG
Today, you will have a leisure morning. Visit a local Museum, where you can learn about the history of Silk Road. Transfer to airport and fly back to Beijing.
