Maliandao Tea Tour

In the market, there will be stops at four shops.

Stop #1: Green Teas
Here you can taste green tea, while you will learn the meaning of ‘tea’, how tea is processed and brewed, what is the drinking season of green tea and what are the health benefits. Also, you will learn what is Mingqian tea and what is tea fixing.

Stop #2: Oolong and Black Teas
While drinking Wulong Tea, you will be told about the different types of tea plats, the different origins (in China) of the types of tea and the difference in taste by the change of processing methods. It will also be made clear what is the difference between Chinese black tea and Western black tea. Finally, you will learn about Kung Fu tea.

Stop #3: White Tea and Pu’er Tea
In this shop you will get an overview of China’s oldest teas, followed by a discussion on tea shapes, ancient Tea Trees, Fermentation and Aging. Of course, you will be able to sample the teas offered in this shop as well.

Stop #4: Ceramics and Herbal Teas
This final stop of the tour will introduce you to other aspects of tea culture, such as design of tea pots, matching tea with the right pots, and the herbal origins of tea.
