The exploration commences with seeing these vintage 1930s BMW Kuazis parked at a central meeting point in Beijing. These unique means of transportation were originally built in Russia before production was transferred over to China. The planned route encapsulates all the essentials of what makes Beijing such a powerhouse of history, culture, and with its eyes towards the future.

Beijing is a super diverse city, from ancient emperor sights to the modern development of the capital. Through old and renovated hutong neighborhoods and passing by magnificent colossal power architectural structures, you will explore the city through passageways you did not even know to exist.

During this 2-hour ride, you will see the thriving city center with its modern skyline, interspersed with more ancient quarters and districts where the hues of the city’s dynasty still flow in abundance.

East - South Route: The CBD, the old Ming dynasty city wall, through old and unrestored neighborhoods, enjoy a view over the city, ride via the NCPA, if you are lucky pass the front of the forbidden city, Either cruise to the Drum and Bell tower, and back via some more modern hutongs and Ghost street to Sanlitun or back to the starting point. OR from the Forbidden city via a hutong with CBD buildings view, a hidden temple and the Galaxy SOHO back to either Sanlitun or the starting point. Starting from Hujialou Exit H interchange of subway line 10 and 6 (in the East)
2 hour trips are a quick tour to see the city.

As of 2020 Asian Trails has introduced a voluntary carbon offsetting initiative for our travellers to compensate for unavoidable emissions during their tours with us. Emissions during multi-day package tours (not including international flights to our destinations) are pegged at a cost of $1.50 per traveller per day. This amount is based on average daily emissions of travellers across our eight destinations. Contributions from clients to our carbon offsetting initiative will go into a destination-specific fund to support climate protection projects certified to Gold Standard in that country. Certification to Gold Standard assures that the projects supported through our carbon offsetting initiative not only reduce harmful emissions but also positively contribute to sustainable development. Our contributions to projects in a country will be relative to the CO2 emitted by our travelers in that destination.
